Salty Pebbles Creative aims to make this website accessible and straightforward to use for as many people as possible.
Accessibility has been considered throughout the design and development of the website, with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
What I Have Done
To help make this website accessible, I have:
- Used colour combinations that meet WCAG AA contrast requirements for text
- Used clear heading structures to organise content
- Added alternative text to images and graphics
- Used descriptive link and button text where possible
- Designed pages to adapt across desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes
- Used readable font sizes and spacing
- Avoided relying on colour alone to communicate important information
- Kept layouts and navigation as clear and consistent as possible
- Made sure links and buttons can be reached in a logical order using keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator
Decorative design elements may use lower-contrast colours where they do not communicate information or affect the readability of content.
Known Limitations
Although I have taken care to make this website accessible, I have not carried out a formal independent accessibility audit and there may be areas that could be improved.
Some content or functionality provided by third-party services, plugins or external websites may also be outside my direct control.
I will continue to consider accessibility when updating and developing the website.
