Not sure which service you need, what I can help with, or how it all works? These are some of the questions you might have before getting started.

No. If you know something isn’t quite working but you’re not sure whether you need a review, some website updates, SEO help or something else, that’s absolutely fine. Tell me what’s bothering you or what you’d like to improve and I can help you work out the most useful place to start.

Therapists and counsellors are my main focus, but they’re not the only people I work with. I’m also happy to help other health and wellbeing professionals, such as coaches and holistic practitioners. If you like my approach and think I might be able to help, just get in touch.

Definitely not. You don’t need to know what platform you’re using, understand SEO terminology or be able to explain the technical problem. If you can show me what’s happening (or tell me what you wish was happening), we can start there.

Yes. Sometimes one piece of work naturally leads into another, or you might need help across a couple of areas. We can work out what makes sense rather than squeezing everything into a service that doesn’t quite fit.

My services are mainly designed around specific pieces of work rather than ongoing retainers or website maintenance. Once we’ve worked together, you’re very welcome to come back whenever there’s something else you’d like help with.

Ask me. The services here cover the things I most commonly help with, but if it’s website, SEO, Google Business Profile or practical marketing-related, I may still be able to help — and if I can’t, I’ll tell you rather than pretending I can.

Websites & SEO

Websites and SEO come with plenty of jargon and conflicting advice. Here are some of the things you might be wondering before deciding what help you actually need.

My main website services focus on reviewing, improving and updating existing websites rather than building completely bespoke sites from scratch. I am developing simple website options for therapists who need somewhere professional to start, so if that’s what you’re looking for, you’re welcome to ask what’s currently available.

No – and I’d be wary of anyone who says they can. Search rankings depend on lots of factors, including your location, competition, website, content and Google’s own algorithms. What I can do is help make sure your website gives Google a much clearer understanding of what you offer, who you help and where you work.

If you’re not sure, you don’t need to work it out before contacting me. A Website & SEO Review is useful when you want to understand what’s working, what could be improved and where to focus next. Website Updates & Improvements is better when you already have a reasonably clear list of things you’d like changed or fixed.

Yes. There can be several reasons why a website isn’t appearing where you’d expect it to, from how Google has indexed the site to the search terms you’re using and the competition in your area. I can look at what’s happening and help you understand what may be getting in the way.

Not necessarily. There are things worth keeping an eye on over time, but a small therapy practice doesn’t automatically need an expensive monthly SEO package. Getting the foundations right can make a meaningful difference, and you can build on them as your practice develops.

I currently work with WordPress websites built with Elementor or Spectra, and Wix.

Google Business Profile can be a really useful free way to help local clients find you — but working out how it applies to a therapy practice isn’t always obvious.

You don’t have to have one, but if you work with clients locally it can be a valuable way to improve your visibility in Google Search and Maps. It’s free to set up and gives you another opportunity to show Google — and potential clients — what you offer and where you work.

Possibly. If you see clients at your home address, you may be eligible for a Google Business Profile. It’s worth thinking carefully before displaying a home address publicly, particularly when you work with clients, and whether your address can be hidden depends on how your practice operates. If you travel to clients, you may be able to set up as a service-area business and show the area you cover instead. Online-only practices aren’t currently eligible for a Google Business Profile.

You may still be able to use the address for your Google Business Profile, but it depends on how the premises are used and the agreement or policy of the place you rent from. Google also has rules about which locations are eligible, so renting a room somewhere doesn’t automatically mean you can use that address. I can help you look at your particular setup and work out the most appropriate option.

Yes. I can help with setting up and optimising your profile, including the information, categories and content that help Google understand your practice. Some parts of the process, such as verification, may need to be completed by you because Google requires the business owner to confirm certain details.

Yes. You don’t need to be starting from scratch. I can review an existing profile and improve areas such as your business information, services, categories and description, as well as spot useful opportunities you may be missing.

A well set-up profile can improve your chances of being found in relevant local searches, but there are no guaranteed positions. Google considers a number of factors when deciding which businesses to show. The aim is to make sure you’re making good use of a free local marketing opportunity rather than leaving Google to piece everything together for itself.

Design & marketing materials

From flyers and leaflets to Canva templates, here are a few of the practical things you might want to know before we get started.

I can help with practical marketing and practice materials such as flyers, leaflets, posters, business cards and client resources. If you have something else in mind, just ask — if it’s within my design skills, I’m happy to look at it.

No. If you already have colours, fonts or a logo you’d like to use, I can work with them, but you don’t need a full brand identity before we start. We can create something that feels consistent and professional without turning it into a full branding project.

Usually, yes. If the template licence allows it to be edited by someone else, I can help adapt the layout, colours, fonts, images and content so it works for your practice. If you’re not sure what the licence allows, we can check before we get started.

If we agree on an editable Canva template, yes. You’ll receive a version you can reuse and update yourself without having to come back to me every time you want to change a date, fee or piece of wording. If you’d rather have a finished design that you don’t need to touch, that’s fine too.

I don’t currently provide or manage printing, but I can prepare your design ready for print and make sure you have the appropriate files to send to your chosen printer. I can also help you make sense of any file requirements they give you.

Yes, to a point. I can help tidy, shorten or organise the wording you already have so that it works well within the design. Substantial copywriting or creating all of the content from scratch isn’t included as standard, but we can discuss that separately if you need more help.

You don’t need to know the right marketing term or work out which service you need before getting in touch. Tell me what you’re trying to do, what’s not working, or what’s leaving you scratching your head, and we can take it from there.
